The first thing you need to do is to organize the contents of the 1st grade homework and the corresponding sub-topics in a clean and orderly manner. For example, put the word “subtraction” on the top left corner of the page where the assignment is listed. On the next line, you should type in the appropriate numbers on that line. In kindergarten, it is a good idea to use the standard number system for subtraction, instead of Arabic numerical conversions, using decimals (doubling numbers) and other strange symbols. You should also teach your students how to read the labels and use the appropriate signs in interpreting the meaning of the numbers written on the left and right side of the word or number lines.
