Money Worksheets Grade 1

Money worksheets for children are a great way to encourage your little one to learn to save their money instead of spending it on everything they want. Many parents make the mistake of buying everything a child wants as a gift and assume that the child will learn to save money in time. This is not always the case. There are many situations where you can simply give the cash to your child instead of buying him or her every gift you can find.

Once the money is out there, you want to be sure that your child understands how it works. Most children love to draw and paint, so having a worksheet with some pictures of what can be done with the money can motivate the child to get started right away. The grade books usually come with charts about future income and expenses, so listing all of the income and expenses for your child will have in the future can help with this. Highlight the expenses that are larger than this and help your child understand these will be large expenses as well. For example, if a child gets a car, then a budget needs to be set up for the car, and this will include insurance costs.
